Outdoor activities are an important part of parenting, and trampolines are one of the most popular activities to date. But how much is a big trampoline?
The average cost of a 12 ft circular trampoline is $300, while a bigger 15 foot circular trampoline will cost $500. The cost of the trampoline will depend on the brand and shape. Rectangular trampolines cost more than circular ones. These prices don’t include safety nets, covers or any other accessories.
Trampolines keep kids active and entertained for hours. And they are great for all ages. Smaller trampolines will not set you back too badly, but a larger outdoor model is a real investment. You need to put some thought into this before you buy.
We have a guide for you to help you out. Trampolines need to be safe and safety can come at a price. That being said, price does not always equal quality. When it comes to trampolines, you need to look at overall value for money.
Our guide will help you look at all aspects and give you the answers to the question “how much is a big trampoline?”
How Much Money Does A Trampoline Cost
A trampoline is an investment. You want to get a unit that is safe and one that will last. This means looking for reliable brand names, and high-quality products.
When it comes to trampolines, the reliable brands do come at a higher price, but you will have a trampoline that lasts longer and is safer.
There are some things to consider before you buy:
- What kind of trampoline are you looking for? There are circular and square shapes, and various sizes.
- How much does quality matter? Higher-quality ones will be more expensive but will last longer.
- Do you want accessories like a basketball hoop or a tent?
How Much Is A Small Trampoline
There are small trampolines and there are mini trampolines. A mini trampoline can be purchased for a great price on Amazon and will be about 36 inches in diameter. These are great for toddlers who need to burn off some extra energy and they can be used indoors and outdoors.
A small trampoline is typically considered to be between 6-feet and 8 feet. For this size you should expect to pay between $150 and $250.
How Much Does A Springfree Trampoline Cost
Springfree is one of the top brands in trampolines. The springless design is popular with parents and makes them the safest trampolines on the market. But they do come with a higher price tag as a result.
On average Springfree trampolines cost about $1750 for a medium sized trampoline with enclosure and $2600 for a jumbo unit.
How Much Does A Skywalker Trampoline Cost
Skywalker is certainly a reputable brand in the world of trampolines. They are also more affordable than Springfree. If you need a reliable and safe trampoline at a more agreeable price, Skywalker is the way to go.
On average Skywalker trampolines on Amazon will cost between $400 and $700 on Amazon.
How Much Is A Square Trampoline
Square and rectangular trampolines on Amazon cost more than circular ones. The average for these based on an average size is between $600 and $800.
When you shop with known brands and specialty manufacturers with an enclosure, you can expect to pay over $1000. Higher end models can even be as high as $1500.
How Much Is A Trampoline At Target
You will not find brands like Springfree or Skywalker at Target, but they do have affordable trampolines. Toddler trampolines can be found at Target for around $200.
Beyond this there is not much available at Target in terms of outdoor trampolines. They do have a Plum Bowl trampoline for around $2000. This is a large price gap, so if you need a midrange trampoline, Target may not be the best place to look.
Amazon offers a wider selection in terms of styles and price.
How Much Does A Trampoline Cost At Walmart
You can get small toddler trampolines for under $100 at Walmart. You get more brand selection with Walmart then you do at Target, but options are still limited. Larger outdoor trampolines are not available.
The largest you can expect to get will be around 10-feet. The most popular model at Walmart is an 8-foot trampoline that averages at $300.
Most Expensive Trampoline In The World
The Galactic Xtreme Gymnastic Rectangle Trampoline (check out on Amazon) may not be the most expensive in the world, but it is the most expensive one we recommend.
This unit is commercial grade so you get the quality that comes with the higher price. This trampoline holds up to 550 pounds so the whole family can have fun together.
Along with high-quality you get high safety ratings. The polyester mesh is made from high-grade materials and all poles are covered in soft foam for protection. T-brackets keep everything connected for maximum safety.
You also get a lifetime warranty on springs and the frame. The investment will be worth it in the long run, if you have the budget.
What I like:
- High weight limit
- Commercial grade
- Top-quality polyester mesh net
- Lifetime warranty
What I don’t like:
Best Brand Of Trampoline To Buy
The best buy of a trampoline brand will depend on what you are looking for. The best brand for value is Skywalker. Their 12-Foot Jump N’ Dunk Trampoline on Amazon is one of the best, affordable trampolines with great value.
Skywalker is one of the top names you can trust, and you get a sturdy and reliable trampoline at an affordable price. The net is sewn into the jumping pad and the springs are outside, which limits the chances of getting a hand or foot caught in the springs.
What I like:
- Many styles and colors
- Reliable and sturdy
- Easy to build
- Top-safety ratings
What I don’t like:
- Nets need to be replaced more frequently
The best brand for safety and overall ratings is Springfree. The trouble is they are more expensive. These are also tricky to build and come with complicated instructions. If you have the budget, this is the brand to go with. Just be prepared to ask for help with building.
Best Trampoline For 5 Year Old
Bounce Pro “My First” Trampoline on Amazon is the top trampoline for kids ages 3 to 10. This is the perfect entry-level trampoline complete with a safety enclosure.
The kids will have endless hours of fun and exercise. You get peace of mind knowing they are safe in a durable and reliable unit. The spring pad protects feet and hands from getting trapped in springs and the UV-resistant mesh protects delicate skin.
The smaller size means this trampoline can be used indoors and outdoors.
What I like:
- Plastic covering over metal legs (will not scratch the floors)
- Fun shape and colors
- Zippered enclosure
- Snug fit with protective safety mat
What I don’t like:
- Setup time is longer than expected for a small trampoline
Best Trampoline For Teenagers
Buying a trampoline for a teenager will have you looking for different specifications. You need to consider higher weight allowances as two or three teenagers can get close to 300 pounds. It will also need to be large enough.
We recommend at least 15 feet for teenagers to jump safely and to have enough room.
The Zupapa Trampoline on Amazon comes in 12-feet, 14-feet, or 15-feet options, but the 15-foot one will be perfect for teenagers. You get an enclosure net for safety and a non-slip ladder for easy access.
The patented “no-gap jumping mat” design keeps fingers and toes safe as your teen cannot get anything stuck through the springs.
The larger 15-foot trampoline accommodates up to 33 pounds making it ideal for your teen and their friends. You also get much better bounce thanks to the additional springs.
This one used 108 as compared to the traditional 90. As far as larger trampolines go, this one is very affordable without compromising quality.
What I like:
- Rain cover included
- More springs, more bounce
- Sturdy and durable frame
- Rust-resistant galvanized steel
How Much Are Trampoline Accessories
In addition to the price of the trampoline, you may also have accessories. Some kits will come with accessories, but others will not. The most common accessories for trampolines include:
- Trampoline pads (Ave price $50-$100)
- Safety net enclosures (Ave price $75-$100)
- Ladder and/or slide (Ave price $25-$30)
- Trampoline lights (Ave price $15-$30)
- Weather cover (Ave price $40-$60)
- Basketball hoop (Ave price $75-$100)
- Shoe holders (Ave price $5-$10)
How Much Is A Trampoline Pad
With safety being a top priority with trampoline play, a mat or protective pad is one of the most important items. Most kits will come with these, but if not you need to get one before the trampoline is used. Pads range in pricing from $50 to $100, depending on size and brand.
These mats cover the springs, so there is no risk of getting hands or feet caught in the springs. You may also need to buy a replacement mat after some time.
It is important to keep these in good shape and replace them when they are worn. Amazon has several available trampoline pads at an affordable price, in many colors and all sizes.
How Much Is A Trampoline Net
Trampoline safety nets are just as popular as protective pads. A safety net enclosure reduces the risk of falling and keeps jumpers within a safe jumping area. These nets are also attached to the trampoline in a way that prevents exposure to the springs.
Safety nets will come in different sizes but will be generic to fit most brands. You can of course buy brand-specific, but this can cost more. Amazon offers a range of nets that are affordable in case you need a replacement, or you buy a trampoline that does not have one.

Helpful Tips For Finding A Cheap Big Trampoline
In most cases a higher-priced trampoline means higher quality. Before you bring out your wallet, there are things to consider. You want to make sure you are meeting all your needs before you make the investment.
- Space: you need to buy a trampoline that will fit in the available space you have. Measure the yard to confirm if you will have clearance and space for a trampoline. This will help you narrow down the size you need to look for.
- Safety: Most brands will advertise the fact that they meet all safety requirements in the industry, but you want to look for a few things in particular. Enclosures, padding, no gaps, rust-resistant springs, and galvanized steel frames are important for safety and longevity.
- Surface area: The size of mat you need will depend on who will be jumping. An 8-foot bed will work for one or two people, a 12-foot bed accommodates up to three people, and a 15-foot bed is best for two or three people.
- Warranty: Confirm the warranty offered by the manufacturer. Make sure you look at warranty for parts as well as for frame, as they are often different.
You have made the decision. It is time to get a trampoline for the yard. This is not a decision to make lightly and we want to help you through the process.
